The Bridge Connect

The Bridge Connect is a private online community created for local child welfare professionals to connect, collaborate, and support one another.

We recognize that this work is extraordinarily difficult, and that no one person or agency has all the answers. The Bridge Connect was created to help connect professionals across our community in an effort to build community, improve access to resources, strengthen collaboration, and ultimately improve outcomes for the children, youth, and families you serve.

The work of serving children and families can be challenging, and many of the best ideas, resources, and solutions come from the people doing the work every day. The Bridge Connect provides a space where professionals can:

  • Ask questions and seek guidance from peers
  • Share resources, tools, and opportunities
  • Celebrate successes and positive outcomes
  • Exchange ideas and best practices
  • Offer encouragement and support to fellow professionals
  • Build relationships across agencies and organizations

Access to The Bridge Connect is limited to approved professionals who work at a Virginia Department of Social Services agency (typically requiring a .gov or [organizational email]). Our goal is to create a trusted space where those serving children and families can learn from one another, strengthen connections, and help bridge gaps across our local community.

Whether you're looking for a resource, navigating a challenge, sharing a win, or simply hoping to connect with others who understand the work, The Bridge Connect is here to help you stay connected to the people and knowledge that make a difference.
